Candace Phelps is the owner and designer for CPDC Decor. Candace is a graduate of Lincoln University and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She has worked in the interior design field for the past  fourteen years as a contractor, patternmaker and product developer for various interior design firms. Currently she owns and operates a professional drapery workroom that provides high-end custom window treatments and other home accessories to residential and commercial clientele.

In order to provide the best practices and latest trends to her clientele, Candace attends industry conferences and seminars. She also participates on industry online forums DraperyPro and the Custom Home Furnishing Indusrty forum.Her detailed design and workmanship has been featured as a trend vignette at the International Window Coverings Expo in  Washington,DC in 2007 and Atlanta, GA in 2008.

Candace is a Window Fashions Certified Professional Specialist.  She has conducted numerous lectures and workshops for hundreds of home sewers and industry professionals. More recently, she was a guest speaker to Drapery Design students at Montgomery College in Rockville MD. Candace's business, workshops and designs have been featured in Window Fashions Magazine, the Washington Post Home Section, The Washington Time and Fashion Institute of Technology Alumni Magazine.
